Featured Artist: Richard Hamilton

Born: February 24, 1922
Died: September 13, 2011
British
Painter, Collage artist

Seems to be considered one of the earliest pop artists.

"Just What Makes Today's Homes So Different, So Appealing?" is one of the first pieces to achieve a popular status for pop art. This was designed by Hamilton and put together by him and a group of artists for the "This is Tomorrow" exhibit in London, England

Hamilton's association with the pop art scene led him to come in contact and befriend Paul McCartney, whom he also designed the cover art for the Beatles White Album

hmmmm. I mean it's cool and modern and all that, but I was expecting a little more.

"Study for a Fashion Plate"

"The Citizen" inspired by the conflict in Northern Ireland. This is one of a series of 3 paintings he did for Ireland

random painting he did. I CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT THE TITLE IS

and for the parody lover in all of us, enjoy
